Our Mission Statement
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Chater and the Fundamental Principles of the Internation Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergency situations.

A Brief History
- 1881 - Clara Barton founds the American Red Cross
- 1905 - American Red Cross receives Congressional Chater, which it still operates under today.
- 1917 - Howard-Tipton Chapter, Miami County Chapter and Wabash County Chapter formed.
- 2007 - Miami and Wabash Counites merge as the Wabash-Miami Branch under the Northeast Indiana Chapter.
- 2009 - Howard-Tipton Chapter and Wabash-Miami Branch merge into one consolidated Chapter - American Red Cross of North Central Indiana.
- 2010 - Grant County Chapter consolidates with North Central Indiana Chapter to create a five county service area.
- 2011 -Cass County Chapter begins collaborative relationship with North Central Indiana Chapter to create a six county shared service area.
